Booster update 9/17/10

THANK YOU  - THANK YOU - THANK YOU !!!

We would like to give a BIG THANK YOU to all the parents who volunteered and donated items for the Back To School BBQ.  It was a success because of your generosity.  Thank you so much for coming in early to set up and staying longer than your shifts to help clean up. Our net profits for the BBQ was nearly $1000!  We are off to a great start. 

Our next fundraiser will be Thursday, December 2nd with Movie Night in the Multipurpose Room at Enders.  We do not have school the next day so it will be a fun event to let the kids stay up a little later on a weeknight watching a movie with their friends eating popcorn, candies and pizzas.  It was a huge success last year so we hope it will continue for us this year.  We are also trying to get other types of fundraiser started with different restaurants in the area so stay tune. 

The next booster meeting will be sometime in mid or late October.  We are hoping to spread the word to other 6th grade parents about the booster.  We want to inform everyone of our efforts and encourage more parents to come to the meeting.  Topics to cover in the next meeting will be Movie Night on 12/2, 6th Grade T-shirts, and yearbooks.

We decided to start this blog to help parents and students get information about the 6th Grade Booster.  We are new at this so please bear with us as we learn how to update info on this page.

Hello Parents and Students,

Welcome to 6^th Grade.  What an exciting time for our 6^th graders as they finish their last year at Enders. We are a committee of parents arranging fundraisers to help with the costs of upcoming 6^th Grade Activities.  

There are so many things to look forward to.  Among them are the 6^th grade T-shirts, yearbooks, and year-end party to prepare and organize.  Our goal is to raise money to help cut your costs to fund these items.  We have been very fortunate to get a head start earlier this spring with 2 fundraisers and the recent Back To School BBQ.  However, we still need your help with volunteers and donations for future fundraiser events.  There will be meetings throughout the school year to discuss and vote on some of the decisions that will affect 6^th Grade Activities.  We encourage you to attend the meetings, be informed, and get involved with this booster organization.  

Many 6^th grade parents have asked about a fundraiser for the Outdoor Science Camp.  The only one being offered right now is the World Finest Chocolate Candy fundraiser.  You should have received a flier with an order form.  If you did not get one and would like to receive one via email, please email to endersclass2011@yahoo.com.
